1Yakushima Environmental Culture Village Center
The Visitor Center introduces the nature and climate of Yakushima. Gather information there before the start and make sightseeing in Yakushima more enjoyable.
2Inakahama Beach
The largest sandy beach on the island with beautiful pure white sand, famous as a spawning ground for sea turtles. It is also the last toilet rest spot before entering Western Forest Road.
3Western Forest Road
One of the largest evergreen forests in Japan, and 15km of the approximately 17km coastal road is a World Natural Heritage area, where you can meet wild "Yakushima" monkeys and deers.
4Ohko Waterfall
One of the largest waterfalls on Yakushima Island which has been selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan. You can walk right up to the basin.
5Senpiro Falls
A dynamic waterfall with a drop of about 60 meters cascading down a beautiful V-shaped valley. The name comes from the fact that the huge granite monolith is about the size of a thousand people's outstretched arms.
